Good morning, Lulu! Happy Dog of the Day!

Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face, gives me greater pleasure, than having the honor of celebrating the life of a beautiful senior pup, paying tribute to one most deserving furkid/animal companion! And how deserving you are, dear Lulu! I went into meltdown mode the moment I laid eyes on your sweet face, those huge, warm, love filled brown eyes; reading of the very special place you hold in your humans' hearts!

You certainly had a most horrific, sad start at life, Lulu. No dog, no animal, should suffer such abuse. Miraculously, thanks to your hero rescuers at AnimalRescueKorea.org, your foster family, you found you way out of that horrible place, all the way from South Korea to Chicago, into the loving arms of a truly devoted furever family; living the carefree, love filled, adventure packed life destined to be yours!

Lulu loves when we go for walks, and constantly loves adventure. My family and I travel a lot, so we have been all around the country. We have learned that she really likes tropical places like beaches, fancy hotels with pools, and walking around the street markets at night.

Talk about living the good life! I can just picture you sitting poolside and romping on the beach, turning heads as you saunter thought the market come evening! But now, having reached your golden years, time to slow down and relax, napping on your bed, feeling the wind on your face, munching on treats, being loved and pampered to pieces by wonderful family! How blessed they are, Lulu, having a sweet and loving, companion, a furry family member as special as you, Lulu! You truly are one brave, beautiful girl, a fighter and survivor, a true treasure! A family couldn't hope for a pup any more special than you!

It is not just her past that makes her special, because there are many dogs who have been abused in the past, it is her emotion. I used to have a bird named Autumn and he sadly died a few years ago. Lulu was so depressed. She wasn't her usual happy self, she was that mourning dog, who had lost a good friend. She grieved right along with us. Sadly now she is getting pretty old, and we are moving soon. My mom says that our new home, will likely be Lulu's last home. So I want to savor every moment I have with her. And that is why I think Lulu should be honored.
