    Squishable Louie

Oh, Louie - you certainly knew what you were doing when you chose your new forever home, didn't you? No every kitty would permit being squashed like that by a small child, but you seem perfectly relaxed about it. I am sure she is gentler with you now. You are such a handsome boy, too, with your creamsicle coat! Congratulations again - you are Cat of the Day for the whole world to celebrate!

    Lovable Louie!

Greetings, Loui-E (emphasis on the "e""!) Happy Cat of the Day!

What a handsome Ginger Tabby boy you are, Louie! Your softly muted, orange colored coat looks so soft and oh, that sweet face of yours is a total heart-melter!

As Karen has said, you sure knew what you were doing, choosing such a loving family to be yours, and in return you repaid the kindness shown you, helping to fill that place in your humans' hearts, left empty after the passing of their beloved Tuxie girl, Katie! Sounds like yet another case of mutual rescue to me! I just love that photo of you so patiently allowing little Emma to hug you! Some kitties don't even appreciate a grown up's cuddles! hehe And I'm sure today, years later, you're the best of buds!

How lucky your furever family is, having a sweet and loving furkid, a full fledged family member in you, Louie! You're just as special as they come, a treasure, and so very worthy of your big day in the spotlight!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, sweetheart! Meeting you has been a real treat! I hope you're enjoying a very special day of celebration, playing with your balls and yarn, being carted around in the crook of your mommy's arm, kneading the air, lol, being loved and pampered to pieces, treated to all your heart desires and more! Lots of love, snuggles and kisses to you, precious Louie, our very special and most deserving Cat of the Day, EVERY day!

    Heart-melting!!!

Dearest Louie, what a gorgeous guy you are! That pale ginger and white coat is so pretty and looks so soft, and what a sweet face you have, with those long white whiskers and the lovely big eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You look so comfy and relaxed in the first, and how nice to see you with your dear young skin-sister Emma in the other. I wish I could reach through the screen to Smith Mountain Lake, Hardy, VA and pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you for me .

And what a terrific story you have to tell! At first you were a stray kitty appearing all around the neighborhood but not letting anyone get close. Then your dear-Purrrsons-to-be started leaving food out for you and talking to you, calling you 'little orange cat,' which soon evolved into Louie. (You particularly like it if spoken with extra emphasis on the last e.) You became a member of the family, helping to fill their hearts after the loss of their beloved sixteen-year-old tuxedo cat Katie.

You and young Emma became good friends, with you tickling her by wrapping your tail around her neck as she played with you! You enjoy being carried around in the crook of Meowmie's arm, kneading the air with your front paws as she walks. You have a very subdued, kitteny meow, and you love playing with plastic balls and yarn. You wait for a door to close to stick your paw beneath. You still like to go out, but you come home when called and purr in exchange for hugs. You and all your dear family members love each other very much, don't you. What a delightful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Louie, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrsons and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Dear Louie, what a handsome ginger tabby boy you are. You are so soft looking, and your face is sooo sweet with your pink nose and those ear tuffsies.
Even though you were a stray kitty in your early days, you knew you had found your forever family when they started leaving food out for you.
You were there to help mending hearts after your humans had lost their beloved Katie.
You still like your independence, but now you stay close to home.
Louie, you are a special boy, and I wish you and your family a great full of celebration, and many more happy and healthy years together.

Congratulations on being honoured as Cat of the Day, LouE!

What a handsome orange boy you are. Your coat looks silky and soft, and you have the sweetest face!

The story of your early life sounds very much like my kitty (who sadly has passed). It took patience and good food to entice you inside, but I'm so glad you became a member of the family, and you helped heal their hearts after the loss of Katie.

Being an inside/outside kitty, you have the best of both worlds. How sweet that you let little Emma cuddle and play with you... children can be a bit rough. But I'm sure she has grown to love you even more, now. You are surely a treasure to your whole family.

Enjoy a day of fun, playtime with your balls and yarn... be careful not to swallow it! Celebrate your big day and get pampered with extra yummy treats and lots of love. I wish you a long, happy and healthy life, sweetie!
