Dearest Freya, what a beautiful mature lady you are! That long fur is so pretty and fluffy and looks so very soft, and what a sweet face you have, with those long white whiskers and ear-tufts and the lovely big eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You are so gorgeous and stately in all of them. I wish I could reach through the screen and across the ocean to Somerset, England to pet you, and pet your 'brothers' Hugo and Pickles, too. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you all for me .
And what a wonderful, heartwarming story you have to tell! You and your dear Purrrson have been together for more than 15 years now, ever since you were a kitten. You two are as close as any animal and human can be. You trust her/him totally and love her unconditionally. You have a loud purr that can be heard from another room! You meow back when someone says hi to you. You co-exist with Hugo and Pickles but would prefer to be an only cat! You are very fussy about food (as are many cats ), liking only the most expensive and luxurious cat foods, and you love catnip and being brushed.
We are so very sorry for your cancer diagnosis. While we too hope for a miracle, we know you and your dear Purrrson are treasuring every moment you have with each other. Love is eternal, and you are and will be together always. You and he/she love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful, love-filled home you have shared and will always share!
Congratulations, darling Freya, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and Hugo and Pickles and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
