How Cold is it where you are?

I couldn't find the original post and thread.

Once in a while we get "EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT" from Environment Canada. The current one started a couple of days ago. Here's today's forecast in degrees F.

Current temperature at 10:30 a.m. is -22 with a wind chill of -31. And there's hardly any wind!

Wind chill this morning is -45. Can hardly wait for the balmy -31 this afternoon!

This is why almost all vehicles here are equipped with block heaters. They are attached to the engine block and a grounded plug comes out through the front grill. I have a switch on my breaker panel that turns it on and off. It will have been on 2 hours by the time I head out today.

    Stay warm, folks!

You might be laughing about our temps, Candace, but for North Carolina natives (I am not one of them), it's coooold...
Today, we are in the upper 30sF, and snow is expected by the end of the week.
I grew up in the Bavarian Alps, where the winter temps are closer to yours.

We're in Canada, nice and warm here on the coast of B.C. today. Okay, kinda chilly, hummingbird nectar might not freeze tonight. Guess we'll see.

It was 0°F earlier this evening, (-18°C) but has warmed up to 8°F, (-1°C).

    0 degrees in Butler, Pa

It's COLD here at Concordia, Butler. It was a big, fat 0 degrees outside this morning and expected to go up to a "tropical"17 degrees! I know it's not quite as cold as my Canadian neighbors, but it's plenty cold for us in Western Pa.!

It has warmed up to 6°F here (up from 3 earlier), but with the wind chill - and wow, does one feel it! - it is -14°F (-26°C)
