Hi Barkley! Happy Dog of the Day, sweetheart!

Oh, what a precious Peekapoo pup you are, Barkely; one brave, beautiful boy; a true survivor! I was on the edge of my seat, holding my breath, reading your mom's account of your harrowing bout with Parvo! God bless your dear mom and dad for not only rescuing you from those irresponsible owners, but doing EVERYTHING in their power, sparing no expense, to heal you, after your diagnosis! Thanks to their unconditional love and devotion, their total commitment, along with some great vet care, you beat the odds! They're heroes in my book, defining all the best in pet parenting! But in the end, I have to believe it was that awesome nurse, allowing your mom to see you, and YOUR indomitable, fighting spirit, that made all the difference, helping you to turn the corner! (Being a nurse myself, I too have on more than one occasion, "broken the rules!")

How blessed your family is, Barkley, having a furkid as special as you in their lives, how well their unwavering devotion has been rewarded! And it goes without saying that each and every day your repay the compassion shown you, bringing so much joy and love to their lives! You truly are one EXTRA special pup, Barkley, a treasure, and so very deserving of your big day of honor!

Hello Barkley, Yes, You are indeed lucky to be alive thanks to your human parents. If not for them, it sounds as if you would not have made it. I hope that person who put you in a cage with big dogs is no longer selling puppies. People like her do not love animals. Now back to you Barkley, what a cute little puppy you were and now you are one handsome big boy. I hope you have many more happy healthy years with your human family. Congrats on being DOTD!

Dearest Barkley, you are adorable! What a sweet Peekapoo boy you are. And what an amazing, heart-rending and then uplifting story you have to tell! We are so very glad that you came to your wonderful Furrrever family after that awful start you had.
