    Precious Opal!

Hi Opal! Happy Pet of the Day, beautiful girl, and to dear Onyx as well!

It was hard to get through your human's tribute without getting a bit teary-eyed. Sadly, I too went through an almost identical loss not that long ago, and can so well relate not only to your mom's grief and sense of loss, but the guilt. Thankfully your mom has your daddy there to provide support. But there's something about the unconditional love of an animal companion that is especially comforting and healing, and in you, dear Opal and Onyx, your mom has found the ultimate heart-healers!

And I have found that our two new baby girls, Opal and her sister Onyx, help a lot as well. They are so sweet, adorable, playful, and they're even becoming affectionate towards us. And they help a lot. When I am feeling down, I can go over to their playpen and pet them, play with them, and cuddle with them, and that goes a long way to helping me get through the grieving process. Overall they've brought a lot of joy into our household, even despite the hard work and expense, and we are so happy to have them in our lives.
And though you may be a Waardy, Opal, suffering from a few challenges of your own, just as you are there for your mom in her time of need, she is there for you every step of the way, and oh, how you're thriving under her loving care, growing stronger and more confident with each and every day! How blessed you mom is, having a beautiful, sweet and loving furkid in you, Opal. You're precious beyond words, sweetheart, truly a gem of a girl, and so very deservng of your big day of honor!

Thanks to your mom for sharing her heartwarming tribute, so many heart-melting photos with us! Meeting you has made my afternoon! Hope you're enjoyng a very special day of celebration...exploring, climbing and jumping, playing with dear Onyx, cuddling with your mommmy, being treated to all your heart desires and more! Lots of love, cuddles and kisses to you, precious Onyx, our very special and most deserving Pet of the Day, EVERY day! Love to dear Opal, too!

    Precious!!!

Opal is adorable! I can understand how she could help lift your spirits while you are sorting yourself out. Sounds like Opal is a bit of a handful, the two of them must keep you quite busy. What a delightful POTD and I wish the whole family the best on this special day!

Dearest Opal, what a beautiful young ferret girl you are (and so is your sister Onyx)! And what loving family members you are for your dear person! Your sweetness and softness and unconditional love have been greatly comforting to her after she experienced heartbreaking tragedy. You and she and all your family members love each other dearly, don't you. What a wonderful loving home you share!

Congratulations, darling Opal, on being chosen Pet of the Day for yesterday, June 8! We hope you and Onyx and your dear mom and all your family members are still enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
