Well, nothing like a clean slate in Cat Health to update on Cole!

Western Vet, the location of Cole's oncologist, is expensive. One part that is definitely worth it is the speed at which specialized lab tests are couriered to Saskatoon (about a 7 hour drive) and the results reported.
Cole got tests done yesterday about 5 pm. Dr. Glenna phoned me about 1/2 hour ago (11:30 am local time) with the results.

1. Low protein in urine, normal range (Palladia can cause more to be lost).
2. All blood work excellent including glucose.
3. and the BEST news - the buffy coat blood test was NEGATIVE. That means there are no more mast cells in his bloodstream! YAAY!

Now, the buffy coat results can go back and forth - but this is a sign of real progress!

Cole's next follow-up is in one month instead of two weeks. We are keeping him on a low dose of Palladia as it's working well and he is tolerating it well. His remission - which seems very possible at this point - will be maintained as long as he tolerates the Palladia. Dr. Glenna said there is really no good remission with this incurable disease (mast cell cancer) without it.
Feeling some relief and more hope.
Thank you ALL for your support, thoughts and prayers!
