As you might remember, all of my cats started getting sick in April with anorexia and lethargy, some were vomiting. 5 days later, they seemed to recover. Then, three of them started having diarrhea.
The vet sent Olive's poop for a diarrhea panel. It came back positive for Corona virus.
My heart almost stopped, because Corona virus can cause FIP, and I handled an FIP cat last December.
The vet had to calm me down by explaining that more than 75% of cats carry Corona virus, and even though the illness was most likely caused by the virus, none of them should develop FIP.
She said it should be self-limiting, and I'm happy to report that all the kitties have been well for about 2 weeks now.
Needless to say that I'm watching them like a hawk.
