    Sleepy eyes

I was wondering why my cat has so much sleep in her eyes. Her litter is clean, I dust and vaccume most days. Yet ,there seems to be an excess of eye snot particularly in her left eye. I have started washing her little face with a warm washcloth. Don't need to tell ya how much she hates that. She's gettin' used to it though. Does this just happen to senior cats or is there a reason. She just got her shots at the vet but I forgot to ask about it as they were very busy that day. I know it's no big deal but I was wondering....

Hey, that makes sense. Thanks Karen! I just caught her sunbathing in the window and chasing her tail again, after all these years. She still finds it amazing that there's a tail attached to her rear end. So cute and funny!

It is better to try to figure out what is causing the reaction, is this a new thing? What has changed in her environment lately?

No, I have searched within my cranium high and low. Same food, haven't changed laundry detergent or fabric softener. I don't wear perfume,
. Husband hasn't changed deodorant. I'm clueless. I just think maybe she sleeps a lot and ...well, maybe no big deal? Maybe 2 yrs. she's had a lot of discharge from her pretty eyes. I just figured it would go away all by itself. I just was wondering if there is some easy solution or plausible answer for this. Thank - you and I am sure it's no biggie. Thanks again!
