Jasper is having sir jury tomorrow, good vibes please!

Jasper needs some pretty significant dental work done, and since I am lucky enough to work for my vet, he's letting me make payments on the procedure. While he is under, the doctor will also be removing two lipomas which aren't causing him any trouble YET, but which are located close enough to an armpit that I think they would eventually rub him when he walks.

I was feeling pretty cheerful about this until the tech took him away for bloodwork a few minutes ago, when suddenly my nerves kicked in. I trust the doctor and techs completely of course, but it's a little scary to have him going under for anything.

Jasper and I would appreciate any good vibes that could be pointed our way!!

I will be sending good vibes for you tomorrow!
It's always scary for them to go under. I'm sure he'll be fine.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Jasper is out of surgery and waking up fine. I'm not going to see him just yet because I don't want him to panic when he sees me. I have a bed set up for him next to my desk, so the doctor is going to call me back when he's more awake and I'll bring him over to spend the rest of the workday with me.

My boyfriend got us tickets to a show tonight, so I'm going to bring Jasper up to my boyfriend's place. Jasper will have a nice quiet recovery away from the other dogs for at least one night.

Heh, since Jasper is allergic to NSAIDs, he is taking tramadol for pain, and he is VERY loopy from it. Poor guy is sleeping a LOT, which is good because the wind blew down the fence at our house today and he didn't get out!
