I have been seeing, and getting a ton of spam for "Flowers for Mother's Day" ... and find it completely annoying. Do they not take into account some of us lost our mothers years ago? And are not mothers ourselves, and have no need of reminding about Mother's Day?

Yes, I still have a mum-in-law, but I do not need to reminded of her existence. And I am completely dreading Father's Day reminders, as this will be the first June since Dad died, but they do not seem to hype Father's Day as much as they do Mother's Day.

Awww Karen - give the florists a break - they need to make money too. LOL I imagine Mother's Day and Valentine's Day are the biggest profit times of the year for them. As for me - I like flowers, but they really are such a waste of money - and they certainly are not cheap to buy. If they must buy me anything (which I don't really need), then just give me a gift card or a nice cake and ice cream.
