    Chaplin - 2009 to 2014

I am sorry to report that my Chappy boy went to Rainbow Bridge this afternoon.

During the past 12 days, as I kept lots of yummy soft wet foods available in the room he was in, somehow he managed to lose a full pound. While an ultrasound would have confirmed it for us, the vet said most likely he had cancer. FIP - the dry form - is also a possibility, but she said there is no easy way to diagnose that.

Oh no Sandie - I'm so sorry to hear this. I was hoping for better news.

RIP Chaplin. Godspeed - and go find all of your Mom's furkids that have gone on before you. I'm sure you'll all have a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks for posting. Knowing the folks here on PT helps. Plus, all of you knew him from that first day when I trapped him and brought him home.

So unfair, you said it, Kirsten.

Oh no! I just was reading the thread about him not feeling well. I am so sad for you. I was really hoping either things would turn around or you'd at least get some more time with him.

    I am so sorry Sandie.

RIP Chaplin, gone way too soon.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Oh, Sandie, I am so very, very sorry. Deepest sympathy to you and your whole family there.

Rest in peace, dearest Chaplin, whole and healthy again at the Bridge. You have lived a wonderful life full of love since you first came home with your Sandie. Please send some purrs to her heart to remind her you and she are together always and you will welcome her HOME.. One Fine Day.

Oh no...dear little Chaplin. Sandie, if you had not trapped him he would have no one that cared about him and loved him so much as you did.

I remember feeling good when I suggested the name Chaplin because of his little moustache and that became his name.

Many gentle hugs to you, Sandie. You did the right thing, putting Chaplin's comfort ahead of your feelings.

    More {{{hugs}}}.

Thank you again everyone, for taking a moment to post.

Candace, I do recall you were the one who named him, always had that in my mind. And love that you came up with that name for him.

Sandie, I'm so sorry for your loss of Chaplin. Much too early. Remember the good times and know he is at peace now. He will be waiting for you, along the with his friends at the RB.

    Rest easy, dear Chaplin!

    ((((hugs))))

I mourn for all of our cats, and tuxies make it even worse. RIP, sweet boy.
