Kind of excited
For the new storm approaching
But know I'm alone
Trying my hardest
To not get my hopes too high
In case it's all slush
Just saying ...
Kind of excited

But know I'm alone
Trying my hardest
To not get my hopes too high
In case it's all slush
Just saying ...
I've Been Frosted
Tropical peach and
Prom dress lavender streak the
Sky beyond the trees
Winter sunset stays
Low behind the black lace of
Silhouetted limbs
I've Been Frosted
Children bundled up
trudging down the street to wait
For the school bus
The secret of life is nothing at all
-faith hill
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all -
Together we stand
Divided we fall.
I laugh, therefore? I am.
No humans were hurt during the posting of this message.
The only sound now
Is the quiet hush of snow
Filling air and sky
Even the wild birds
Are quiet within the hedge
Conserving their song
I've Been Frosted
Bright sun and warm air
A respite between storms or
Just a tease? We'll see ...
I've Been Frosted
Quiet outside now
Just the rush of snow falling
The world hunkers down
I've Been Frosted
Pink heart-shaped cookies
Are fun to share with neighbors
While we break the ice
Wondering if that's where the "breaking the ice" conversation term comes from, as on a morning after a storm people you never usually counter are all outside at the same time, literally breaking up ice and shoveling snow!
I've Been Frosted
February's grip
Layers, boots, thick underwear
damn, it's cold outside.
I dress myself up
shirt, pullover and jacket.
Keys in shirt pocket?
The secret of life is nothing at all

Together we stand
Divided we fall.

Snow outside my door
Tracks of rabbit, squirrel, bird
Casting deep shadows
I've Been Frosted
Gotta love small wins
A bit of a detour led
To weeks of soup cheap!
I've Been Frosted
41 degrees HEAT WAVE
dogs sunk 1 foot into snow
water dripping off the roof
time to make a snowman
The frost is on the pumpkin & I've been BOO'D by two pet talk ghosts.
Thank you Fritz & Cassiesmom
Daytime storm, I made
A big snowball of car snow
It slid to ruin
I've Been Frosted
Forty degrees out
Wore my lined raincoat today
Instead of heavy down.
(Back story: 40F out today and sunny! Hooray! I left my big heavy down jacket at home and wore my raincoat with the lining. Just for a break for one day. My winter coat has gotten a lot of use this year.)
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.
I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!
Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!
"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas
"We consume our tomorrows fretting about our yesterdays." -- Persius, first century Roman poet

New soap opera set in
Northern climes for once?
