I stumbled upon a list of 10 most dangerous foods for dogs. Thought I'll share this with you.

A useful list, though I think they should have outlined the danger of onions more clearly - in dogs and cats, onion toxicity can cause an aplastic anemia, which can become deadly quite quickly, and the signs may not show up for several days after consumption of the onions. Scary stuff.
It is odd they list avocado because of the seeds only - so does that mean a slice of avocado is okay? Humans do not eat the seed either ... it is huge!
I've Been Frosted
I assume it must be ok to some extent because Avoderm pet food contains it. I don't think I'd give a lot of it because it's so fatty I'd be concerned about pancreatitis.
I believe avocado itself is ok, but the pit is not. And the pit is more of a concern for a potential GI obstruction, not necessarily for toxicity.
Horses and birds, however, can (and will) die from eating any part of it!
