Desperate Diabetic Cat Needs Loving Rescue
Kitty Cat is running out of lives.

Kitty Cat lost his lifelong home when his 92 year old mommy was forced out of her apartment and into a nursing home in February. A friend had promised to adopt him and his best friend cat but secretly planned to have Kitty Cat euthanized and keep the other. Luckily, she was found out and both cats were placed, separately, in new homes. Kitty Cat, renamed Charlie, found himself with a new mom and 2 new cat siblings. Unfortunately, one of his siblings became very ill and died, leaving their mom with a mountain of vet bills. Although she’s trying to help Kitty Cat, he was discovered to have diabetes and needs dental work and she just can’t keep up with the expense.

This time, Kitty Cat is searching for a home with his chances much reduced due to his known medical issues. At just about 8 years old, front-declawed and neutered, he is fully up to date on vaccines, tested negative for FIV and leukemia and had full blood work run – all just this week! He has been put on special food for his diabetes but his owner cannot afford to start the insulin regime which he needs because his sugar levels are just too high to be corrected by diet alone.

Kitty Cat is a sweet boy that enjoys playing and the company of other cats but he is a bit shy. Who can blame him? He’s spent his entire life in a quiet home and ideally seeks a similar situation, preferably with someone who understands diabetes in cats.

Kitty Cat is 8 years old, front declawed, neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He gets along well with other cats, is sweet and a little shy.
