    Aunt Bertha Day!

Today is or was Aunt Bertha's birthday, so be extra kind to your critters today, and slip them a bit of treat, as she always did! She was my Great Aunt, and born in 1905. When she was young, her strict Episcopalian family never had a birthday party for her if her birthday fell during Lent, so years like this were big birthdays for her!

I am sure she got quite a welcome at the Rainbow Bridge when she died, as she loved and spoiled many dogs over her lifetime, from Lorna Doone the Scottie when she wa a young woman, to Brownie, Togie the yellow Lab-colored Beagle mix, and Peppy the Beagle as well as Fluffy, a giant yellow fluffy likely Maine Coon mix, also known as the cat who stomped - unlike normal kitties he was so big you could hear his footfalls when he walked across the floor!

    We are joining in too!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

WOW!!! Yesterday was a busy day indeed. Aunt Bertha's birthday , Charlie & Esther's (my parents) wedding anniversary , and Remembering O.C. Day . Cheers to you all - all of you gone, but never forgotten.
