DIAGNOSIS
Her diagnosis is diffuse cerebral and cerebellar cortical atrophy. Also known at polioencephalomalacia. The cause is yet to be determined. Possibly caused by a Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) Deficiency. We have started her on injectable Thiamine and then will start an oral regiment tomorrow. The outcome depends on if it is due to the B1 deficiency. If it is then we will either stop the progression or she will start to improve. If not then we will keep her comfortable until it is time. Please continue to pray for her as she still has a long road ahead of her.
