Sorry I was at the movies. I can still smell the odor but only faintly. My parents are making me clean my room, so I cannot wash her until I finish. My whole family except me is now covinced Sally will be "fine", but I know that was harmful even if it is not fateful. I've noticed that her fur is a lot softer though. I wonder if it was because of the fluid or the shampoo.

The fluid is probably a natural oil. The combustible label is because all oils will burn. It did not say flammable, so it probably does not have any solvents. OIls can be removed from fur by rubbing with pure shampoo, then rinsing well.

The fur should provide a barrier to prevent the oil and any additives from getting to the skin and hurting kitty.

Good news, Sally smells good again!! All it took was a few baths! I'm so glad, I was really worried she was going to get seriously hurt by it!!

Smokey.....if you will re-read the earlier post...

"OMG...Harmful or fatal if swallowed. If swallowed do not induve vomiting. Call a physician at once. Contents are COMBUSTABLE. "

This is what the label says........ so I wouldn't suggest it is harmless.....

It all seems to have worked out okay though. Thank goodness.

I have some leather treatment solution right here with me and I surely wouldn't want to ingest it.

Like I said, cats have very strong tummys.... keep an eye on her though....

    Keep us posted.

Yes I am relieved it is over as well, and I am keeping an eye on her from now on.
