This morning I found lots of beautiful mushrooms in our neighbourhood!
I drove back home immediately to pick up my camera, and went back to take some pics!!

I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & Zazou Be happy there at the Rainbow Bridge
Wow, they're beautiful and SO big! I've never seen anything like them. I see there are hazelnuts on the ground, too.
The ones in the second picture, looks like they're giving each other headbumpies. LOL!

Wow, those first ones do not even look real! So much variety, thanks for sharing them with us, Lut!
I've Been Frosted
Very cool! I have never seen a picture of a real red mushroom. I found mushrooms on my property today that I had never seen before but they were just the regular light brown ones. I was hoping to see some elves.
We seen a ton of those same type mushrooms up in the mountains on our hike monday. Guido told me the name in Italian is amanita muscaria or also called commonly 'Fungo di Biancaneve' (mushroom of snow white) and it is toxic and also hallucinogenic. We also seen a HUGE porcini mushroom....had to be atleast a couple of kilos or more. It really was huge. Never seen one so big in my life. I will have to upload the photos we took and post a few too.
Wow!!! These are beautiful. Thanks for sharing these with us.
We have had a lot lot lot of rainy days the last weeks, so I bet there are fabulous mushrooms to be found, it is the season! I will have to email my friend who is a mushroomer (knows what is edible, gathers and sometimes sells to local restaurants) if this year is a bumper crop!

WOW! They're gorgeous! Thanks for the photos.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
