    UK meeting?

I thought I'd put in a suggestion for a PT meeting in the UK for some time in the future. I'm pretty sure there was a UK meet several years ago, back when I was fairly new to the boards?

I'd definitely be up for meeting some PTers if anyone could make it over here! I'll be based in the London area for the next four years or so, so plenty of time to organise something if people are interested. Or indeed I could travel to any location in Britain relatively easily by train.

    Yes/no?

Wish you weren't on the other side of the world, Zara . I'll get over to the UK someday and we'll discuss all our animal-related adventures .

That would be fun, I met carrie up at Stonhenge the last time I was in London! If we plan far enough ahead, and schedule it during the "off season" airfares are not as bad ...

That's definitely a good idea, Karen, especially since air fares are getting more expensive in peak times. I wouldn't recommend London itself in the height of summer at all - WAY too busy!

Any other Brits interested in this for the future? Chris, Denise, Killearn Karen, ...?

And I hope you can get over here one day too, Bri! And perhaps I shall also make time for a Tennessee visit one day

I'd love to come over and meet up, if it all fits in. I agree that London is not the ideal place to visit during summer months, unless you have loads of energy, or really want to shop. I have saved some links that you might want to have a look at. The Oxford and Cotswolds areas are nice, and easy to get to from London.

I am seriously planning a UK trip in 2013 so will stay tuned to this thread.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
