How on earth do you guys capture these? Merlin never tells me when he's going to roar.... Do you all have your camera ready at all times???

I was just lucky I guess. My RB Sunny was a real goofball and camera ham so I was always ending up with funny pictures of him. It also helps it you've just woken them up from a nap.

Here is one more Roaring photo of Milly.

This one is more mellow and less threatening.

I think it depends on the cat, Milly yawns a lot and it has been easier to get photos of her yawning, I couldn't find any photos of Izzy yawning and I don't ever remember catching a good one of my RB Samantha. It may also be that I have a better camera now, so many times I have just missed a great photo, some yawns are pretty quick!
