Karen, I'm so sorry you have to go through this, it seems too much for one person. I really hope your pains will go away soon, and you'll be able to see clearly, also - at least with one eye! Sending lots of positive, healing thoughts and (((hugs))) - and purrs from Fister, too.

I spoke to her this evening, and she thanks everyone for their prayers and thoughts. She is having all sorts of therapists - physical, occupational, etc., visits and is still recovering from side effects of the anesthesia, and does have an eye doctor appointment near the end of the month, so will get help for her eyes then, we hope, or at least new glasses.

Okay, I just had a lovely phone from Karen, and she says to tell you all that she loves you all and misses you all and can't wait until she's able to log on again!

She's on very restricted movement right now because of the back surgery, but is going to follow the doctor's orders this time for sure.

She also has seen the eye doctor, and they sent someone over who is a low-vision specialist to help her adjust to how her eyes are now. They are not great, but right now, of course, her focus (no pun intended) is healing from her surgery, and not going stir crazy. She's had a lovely friend who came down to stay with her to help her, so she's managing, and will be glad when she can do things again, but again, she's following doctor's orders to the letter.

She asked me to fill her in, and so I told her about various things and will post in one more thread with a specific message from her, but mostly she just wants to send her love to everyone and appreciates the thoughts and prayers!
