    Viva La Difference!

This time last week, I had a very sick little Mystic. He was hanging onto life by a thread. He broke my heart and I was falling apart.

7 days later..... he's 100% himself. No slowing him down. I swear I just saw him levitate up onto the bed. He's been running around at 90 miles per hour, chasing and being chased. He's hunting down yucky stink bugs. He's tearing into the bag of food. He's doing everything a nawtee kitty should do. And I couldn't be happier

And to give him the twice daily mix of pills? Oh. My. God. It took both hubby and myself to wrangle him last night, hubby holding Mystic's head and body, me prying open the mouth and pushing pills in. Then we re-did it again and again because every pill came back out at least 3 or 4 times before it got smooshed enough that he couldn't spit it out again. Either that, or they were so smooshed that we didn't see pill residue on his black fur

And Mikey? Mikey LOVES the one pill I should give Mystic. Its a gel cap that if I don't watch, I have to pry it out of Mikey's mouth so I could force it into Mystic's. I keep telling Mystic, "Look, Mikey likes it!"

I keep telling Mystic that he HAS to take his medicine because that's what is making him all better. He doesn't believe me - he says its all the PT prayers. Thank you all so much. The difference in this boy is amazing.

Now, Mystic, it is the combination of the medicine AND the prayers. Be good, or momma's gonna get a pill shooter, and that's no fun for kitties!

Kim have you tried the "kitty burrito" method of wrapping him all up snug in a towel and then just having his head stick out? It makes hanging on to a squirming furry one a bit easier, and calms some down.

Awesome news! I am so happy for all of you!!!

Will wrapping him in a towel help with pilling? I am sure you know all the tricks, lol.

This is great news. If he likes treats then I'd try wrapping the pills in pill pockets. This works for my Storm and he has to take 2 pills in the morning and 2 in the evening. Now he enjoys taking his pills and there's no stress at all. Good luck.

This is WONDERFUL news!!! Now Mystic, please be sure to take your pills. They work WITH all the prayers so you can get better. Not only that, if you cooperate with taking your pills, you'll be well enough to join in on our next Catmobile adventure!

    Sleeve of a sweat shirt

I once had to pill a wild kitty and use an old sweatshirt sleeve. Let the head stick out the wrist part......and the rest of the sleeve contains the cat ... or it should.

I am so glad Mystic is back to his old self. He is a miracle cat, for sure.

This is what works for me when I pill Ming. I take the pill, wrap it in about one-half of a Pill Pocket and then take my index finger and place it at the back of his tongue. Ming used to fight like the dickens when it was pill time, but since I've been doing this, he's an angel and I can pill him by myself. Most of the time it is the bitterness of the pill that makes them fight it so much.

Keep getting better, Mystic! I was so worried about you and now I am so, so, happy!
