If I can avoid it, my dog gets no drugs or artificial crap and neither do I. It'd be recalled in 10 years anyway when they find out it causes cancer.

"There are two things which cannot be attacked in front: ignorance and narrow-mindedness. They can only be shaken by the simple development of the contrary qualities. They will not bear discussion."
Lord John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton
I would never give my dogs anything not prescribed by my vet and unless absolutely necessary - not knowing what this could cause later on doesn't justify using my pets as experiments IMO.

I certainly would not give this to my animal. As much as we love our dogs, we cannot keep them here longer than God gave them to live. Dogs lifespan is what it is, and it won't change- Just like our lifespan is limited. Unfortunately our loved animals are not on this earth as long as we'd like. However, dogs live a life of no regrets and unconditional love, and they die with happiness. No reason to keep them here longer unnaturally for our selfish reasons.
A good diet, enough exercise, and a well cared for dog will live as long as it is natural to!
