Nusense is about 3 years old. She was diagnosed with FeLv about a year ago. Since then she has also developed kidney disease. I'm beginning to feel like we are fighting a losing battle here. As of yesterday, her kidney treatment are working against her anemia. She needs SubQ fluids for the kidney issues, but her PCV has gotten so low, she is on the verge of needing a blood transfusion, so more SubQ fluids are not a good idea. The vet is worried that a transfusion might be too much for her weakened immune system to take. The vet has suggested one other drug to try to boost her PCV. She is looking into the cost right now. I can't remember what the name is. Is there anyone else here who has dealt with these issues? In addition to the SubQ, she is taking Azodyl(kidneys), Interferon(FeLv), Benazopril(protein loss in urine) and Amphagel(high phosphorus levels). *(my spelling may be off on some of those)
