I was never a big DE fan, but found myself glued to all the bios/commentaries/documentaries about him that have been on all weekend. Love him or hate him, you have to admire him and all that he accomplished. Racing isn't quite the same without him.

And the race today was awesome. I was rather bummed out that Junior couldn't have won - it would have been so fitting on this 10th anniversary of his father's passing. But how about that winner??? What a wonderful thing for this kid to accomplish. And I never even heard of him before I saw yesterday's race. I hope he goes far........

What a fun race weekend! Cool to see Mikey win the truck race and of course Tony's amazing win in Nationwide

And the 500, wow!! Course that was more fun watching it with great friends! Sorry to my mom and Staci for having to put up with Robin, Anna, Kimmie, Christy and I cheering for our favorite drivers! None of us picked Trevor, but none of us were upset to see him win. Everything I have heard and read about him over the past year, he seems like a really good kid. And how cool to see the Wood Brothers back in Victory Lane!

wow, what a race. I felt a little dirty deep down inside rooting for Jeff Gordon to win, but whoever can successfully trim the Shrub is A-OK with me. Not a bad day for that old guy from Arkansas drivin' the 5 car either.

There was a NASCAR race car at the supermarket today. This weekend they are having NASCAR racing down at the Chicago Speedway. This is the closest I've ever been to a real NASCAR race car!
