Oh, gohs - the name depends so much on the pup - there are noble names, German names - a family I know had Kaiser, then Sargent then Trooper, and there's Gunter and Deiter. What a great dilemna naming a new dog is! I envy you the fun!

Puck if he's particularly mischievous!
I knew one named Sparkplug, after he decided they were a great chew toy - it got shortened to Spark or Sparky later!

A big shout out to everyone for your most wonderful suggestions. We decided to settle on Ottis. It is a name that is cute right now as a puppy, but i think it will be fine for when he is a big boy too. Just to let you know he is a beauty. Sable color with a black face. Wonderful temperment. Not too hyper but will run and chase a ball when you want to play.
