Luna is such a pretty girl and so is her mom Gaia. It's difficult to understand why a vet would say to just let her die when she had FIP but the outcome is better than expected so good for Luna and good for you. Enjoy your day as COTD, pretty Luna.

You are such a Great Furry Package of Cat Love , Luna and we see that you have a Fellow Maine Coon Cat to get you company, along with your Canine Companions.
That is a Great Thing as Cats love the company of Other Ctas, especially Maine Coon Cats who are very social.

Have always thought Maine Coons were beautiful cats we do not have a cat have had them in the past. Just had to tell you have been hearing about cats that quit eating if you tube feed them like you did Luna they recover.The one person that I heard that from was my vet we were just talking in general.

Congrats on COTD from OUR Coonster, Kramer (COTD 12/19/09)- who also apparently had some health probs, because he's a mini-coon (11 lbs.)- but he's going strong at 14+ and I hope he lives forever- they're the GREATEST!

Luna, you are so beautiful, and your story made me cry. Your poor mother, Gaia, rescued when she was neglected, skinny and pregnant. Then you came along, precious Luna, to delight your owner, and then you became deathly ill. Your owner is an angel to take in Gaia, and then nurse you constantly for months until you turned the corner and are now in the pink of health!

Your photos are heart-meltingly beautiful. It’s hard to pick a favourite, but I love the one of you as a tiny kitten in your owner’s arms, looking so seriously at the camera.

Luna, Luna, you are so deserving of the title Cat of the Day, and may you and Gaia have many more happy years together with your loving and devoted owner.
