    Any Mushroomers?

    Paul took this picture the other day when we were hiking at an Audubon Sanctuary ... any idea what these are? Some kind of red mushroom? They were nearly incandescent the way the light was hitting them ... and were tiny. Not far from the edge of a swampy area ...

    I can only identify Morels, False Morels, and Oyster Mushrooms.

    However I asked my hubby and he says they are:

    That is known in Latin as a Ganoderma Lucidum.. English is a Reishi Mushroom.. Its known for Ginkgo = in health products..

    We had some of those growing at the cottage , we found them very pretty but no one around was ever able to identify them.
