I can hardly imagine not grooming all that lovely fur, Sophi, but I know how it is when a furkid doesn't want to be groomed; it's next to impossible to do anything about it except let the furkid do the job and what an excellent job you do at that! I'm so sorry that you need medicine every day but clearly it's helping you. My orangie girl is on the same medicine except in pill form. Yes, we will do anything to keep you both w/us for a long, long time. Enjoy your day as COTD, pretty girl.

My Lucy is on the same medicine, only she gets a shot once a month of it. She also has the pill form, which I give her when the shot seems to be not working any longer. I didn't know this med was available in cream form. Do you think it works better? Lucy takes prednisone for feline stomatitis. I must express my own ignorance ("ignorance" isn't synonymous with "stupid". Ignorance is merely a lack of knowledge in a given area whereas stupid is, well, stupid, but I digress...) when I say I have never heard of a Norwegian Forest Cat. I have missed a beautiful type of kitty of they all look like Sophi. I regret that she's had so many health problems. I hate to bring it up but did her brothers who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge have IBD, also? Is IBD a condition to which the breed is prone, like Golden Retrievers are subject to hip dysplasia.
Anyway, off the medical stuff and back to Sophi. You're a very beautiful kittykins, dear one. May all your days be sunny and warm, filled with love and peace and GOOD health. I pray this for you, along with nice, cool nights through which you sleep peacefully and restfully, recharging your biological batteries for the next day. May your loved ones always be there for you, as they have been in the past and may, too, have long, happy and healthful lives, lives enriched by God Himself. This is my prayer for you, Sophi...

Thanks to everyone for posting about my picture.
My Brothers each died of different problems..Ziek died of Feline Leukemia..He was a farm cat who was absolutely the most loveable cat that ever lived. He was yellow and white and a beautiful boy who died at 2 yrs old. He is buried in a baby casket with a tombstone at the farm..Then mama and daddy got 2 Norwegian Forest cats..Me and Sachi...he was brown and white and had fur like a teddy bear. Mine was like silk...He was one Handsome Dude..we were very different in temperment..he was very outgowing and energetic..just the opposite of me...at 2 yrs and 2 months old he dropped dead very suddenly with Congestive Heart Failure.. Me and my mama and daddy were devastated...I searched for Sachi for months after he died.He is missed terribly in our household..His ashes sit on a shelf in our Master Bedroom.

I'm so glad your family found a way to give you medicine for your IBD. You certainly are the picture of health, so they must really take good care of you.

I'm so sorry you lost your brothers when they were so young, but I know they live on in your heart. You will all be together again someday at the Rainbow Bridge.
