We could not be happier for you today and could not think of a more deserving bird. Too bad we cant make people suffer like they make their pets. Sweet Christy, I'm so sorry that you had such a rough start to your life. It's unspeakable what some "people" are capable of doing to those like you who depend on their kindness. Your amazing dad is a hero for taking you away from that horrible situation, and loving you so unconditionally even when you couldn't trust anyone yet. I wish every parrot could have an understanding human companion like that.
