Your phone # and your friends' are listed on Facebook!

Someone posted this on their status - I checked and YUP! Went and changed that in a hurry!

Your phone numbers are listed in FB for everyone to see.
Wanna see? Click Account, then Edit Friends. On the left side, click on phonebook. I just checked it myself and have everyone's mobile and land phone number. TO CORRECT THIS - go to ...Account, ...then ... Privacy Settings,... ............then... Customize Settings. Set... your phone numbers to Only Me instead of Everyone or Friends

Mine was already set to "friends only" - and it only listed phone number for 18 people, so I suspect most already have their privacy set correctly.

luvofallhorses - it may take it from public sources, like the phone book, so you might want to check your settings just to be sure.

luvofallhorses - if one of your friends posts on FB from a mobile phone, their mobile # gets plugged into the FB phone listing. Automatically.

I heard about this a while ago and I don't even have a mobile phone/cell phone so unless I typed it in they can't get my phone number which I would never do anyway. My privacy settings are for friends only.

This is why you need to check your settings everytime FB updates something...

NOTE: The programmer has to update the app to work with the latest FB, as FB changed very recently... I had it for the last FB version & it worked great!

The only way your phone # show is if YOU put your numbers in the "personal information" sections of your profile.
