Hi, I just wanted to share that both Pearl and Storm went in for their annual exams today and they're both in excellent health.

Pearl will be 5 in May and she's 9lbs and doing great. I've been brushing all of my cats teeth once a week for quite a while and my vet said that she doesn't have any tartar on her teeth and only a tiny bit of gingivitis but it's nothing to worry about. She also hasn't broken out on her chin or lips since she's been on a grain free diet.

Storm has gained some much needed weight back and he's now 14.1lbs where he should be. I was a bit worried because he felt a little boney to me but his weight has improved so much since from when he was sick in Nov.2009. He's still on 2.5mg of pred in the morning and 5mg of pepcid at night for his small intestinal disease but with these meds he's doing great. Unfortunately he did get car sick on the way to the vets but I always keep puppy pee pads in the carriers and I bring extra ones with me so there was very little mess to clean up. Since Storm's blood work was so good last time my vet didn't see any need to do any more blood work this time or to take another urinalysis. She tries not to do any unnecessary testing.

The vet hospital will be moving to a larger building towards the end of the summer and I think the new location will be a bit closer to me. I asked my vet what's going to happen to the current building and she told me that they sold it to a man but they made him sign something saying that it couldn't be used for another veterinary hospital. It has to be used for office space. My vet said that this is too bad because she would've bought it and turned it into a cat hospital which I think would've been a great idea. Maybe some day she will open up her own cat hospital since she already specializes in cats.

Sorry for rambling on but I'm just thrilled to have 2 healthy cats.
