    Samson BLOCKED!!! Prayers Please!!!

Samson is going back to see the vet a 1000 this morning. He was blocked yesterday, and spent the day there. Sam has been doing the in and out of the box. I gave him homeopathic Cantharis, which is used for bladder irritation. Being blocked last year nearly cost Sam his life, but it was his key to getting rescued.....Thanks.....

    PRAYERS for Samson!

I hope he can get some food that will keep his urine at a certain pH so crystals don't form! Ask the vet. Most of the new grain-free foods are like that - Innova Evo, etc

I hope he is home and well soon.

Oh, no! Blocking is so scary. Lots of healing thoughts for Samson--and Gatsby sends extra get-well wishes, 'cause he knows what the poor guy is going through.

Ming sends his sympathies to Samson. He knows very well what it feels like to be blocked and how awful it is! He says the right diet and meds will help keep that from happening again. Prayers coming from us to Samson!

Thank you for all the prayers and candles for Sam!!! He did urinate last evening at 855p. I did not have to give him the IM Valium(though I was a wreck until he did void, I thought about using the Valium(ONLY kidding)). Sam, since the day he was rescued last March, has been eating Royal Canin SO canned. NO DRY FOOD at all....We will continue to watch him closely.....and again, thanks for the prayers!!! I KNOW they did the trick!!! Sandra

Sandra, I'm so sorry to hear this. Sometimes diet alone doesn't keep a cat from becoming blocked. My Storm was blocked 2 times and he had a lot of scar tissue so the ER vet recommended that he get the PU surgery. I know this is usually the last thing to try in a case like this. I hope that either a different diet or some meds may be able to help Samson. I'm glad to hear that he was finally able to pee. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way.

I'm glad Samson is doing better. Poor little guy! I hope he's not hurting and gets over this for a very quick and complete recovery!
