    Bonnie Smile

I rescued Bonnie several years ago. When I found her she was matted and had a bloodied ear. I clipped her fur, and gave her a good bath. I worked from home at the time, and after cleaning her up and giving her some good grub, I placed a pillow on the floor behind my office chair and told her to lie down there. Bonnie instinctively obeyed, and she has been with me since.

Bonnie has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I do not know how old she was, but Bonnie lived with me for several years, and she had lived with another for a few years prior to that. The little girl loved life, and she loved her daddy. Bonnie was a "mother hen" to the other dogs, always checking on everybody else, licking their wounds, and soothing their hurts.

Bonnie was the first of my many canine rescues, and her demise carries with it a special hurt. I shall long grieve her passing. I loved Bonnie Girl, and I shall miss her for a long time.

Rest in Peace, my sweet baby girl. Run fast and play hard at the bridge, and Daddy will be along shortly.

I am so sorry to hear Bonnie has left her home on earth. She sounds as if she was an extra special girl and helped to to find your true calling in life, a safe haven for so many. I have no doubts she is looking down upon you and the rest with love.

Dan - I'm so sorry to read of Bonnie's passing. I hope it was peaceful.

It's always so difficult to lose one of our "kids", and this must truly be difficult for you, since she was your first doggie rescue. She certainly did a good job of taking care of the others who followed. I'm sure she will continue looking after others at RB.

She was such a pretty girl. RIP Bonnie, and peace to you Dan.

Dan, I'm so sorry for your loss. Bonnie was such a sweetheart and I know how you'll miss her.

You took good care of her and I'm sure she had fun keeping the others in line.

Play hard on the RB, sweet girl!

Will she be resting at Willow Oak?

The last resting place of Bonnie and Sheba.

Bonnie, my first canine rescue, and daddy's precious girl, rests next to Sheba, my first feline rescue, another of my precious ones, and my very first rescue of any stripe.
