Buddy and Mama - Enemies?

I have probably mentioned before how Mama and Buddy do not always get along. He was the alpha cat before she came along and she has never seemed to recognize that. She never misses a chance to give him a swat when he is walking past her and if he looks at her the wrong way she hisses and growls. I have to laugh.

So last night I am watching television and Bud is in “his” chair. Next thing I know Mama is on the back of the chair looking down at him. I think she was trying to start something with him but he wasn’t having it. He was comfy and content napping in “his” chair.

I was watching television and not paying attention to them. Later I looked over to see Mama sound asleep on the top of "his" chair and Bud down below. You have to look closely to see Buddy because he blends in with "his" blanket. I just had to laugh because they never get this close to each other without a spat. Maybe love is in the air?

What a cute picture. They sure look like angels in this picture. Hopefully they'll learn to tolerate each other better.

My Storm and Pearl used to be inseparable when Pearl was a kitten. Then she grew up and now they only tolerate each other. Sometimes I'll still catch them cuddling and they look at me as if to say " Oh no! We've been caught!" I know that they still love each other but they just don't want me to know it.

Cats are such funny creatures. My Specs and Boo are always at it w/each other, then a few minutes later they'll be cuddled up together. Maybe this will progress to the same thing w/Buddy and Mama.
