    Hmm, didn't see that story on the page that went to!

    I have been bemused my whole life how science is "catching up" or "discovering" things I have known in my gut since childhood!

    Yep. I ride a mare who is very touchy about her girth being put on and tightened - she must have had a rough handler in the past, and she's never forgotten! No matter how gentle you are, she reacts the same.
