    Things I love about winter.

Watching a snow fall. Big, white, fluffy flakes all different and all beautiful.
    Hot cocoa.
Christmas and everything that goes with it.
A good book, a sweet kitty on my lap, laying in my bunny PJ's relaxing.
    I love cold weather.
Not as many bugs, not a fan of the fly, slugs etc...
    Friends dropping by.

I love everything about Winter except the snow and ice. I love the cold weather as you do, it makes being indoors so cozy.

Snow - as long as it's off the roads and walkways.
A long walk along the ocean. Love it in the winter!
Watching little kids and dogs playing in the snow.
Ice skating. (Now a thing of the past for me).
Colorful Christmas lights reflecting off the snow.
Sitting by the fire and sipping a glass of good wine or cup of hot chocolate.
The end of hot and humid weather.
Baking - I just don't go there in the hot weather.
Body warming foods like stews and soups and chili, cooking all day in the crockpot and filling the house with yummy smells.
Snuggling under a down blanket with the pups.

    No bugs!
Eating "comfort food" (chili, stews) without feeling guilty.
When the ugly winter storm starts on a night before I DON'T have to get up for work the next morning.
I don't have to fuss quite as much with my hair because I am going to have hat head/scarf head/hood head when I get to work anyway.
The days start to get longer!

The one thing I like about winter's arrival: The days start getting LONGER!

turning off the house lights, pulling open the drapes and opening the blinds, turning on the music of the season, a cat on lap, on top of the afghan, dog at my side, and watching the snow fall, seeing the christmas lights of the neighbors go on....good times indeed

Winter, I love it, let me count many a way
I love the snow when it's falling, night or day
It hushes sounds and silence brings,
The whole city slows and stops
It covers grey parking lots and abandoned lots equally
So that the world cleaner, newer and fresher
And like those could be meadows buried under a blanket of white
    Snowfall brings neighbors closer
Everyone is out to shovel, clearing sidewalks and driveways
    And driveways again
And conversation happens that doesn't in busier times.
