So sorry you are going thru this, and I know how Laura feels too. I had a similar bad drug encounter, but fortunately it turned out okay for me.
In the late 60's with my last pregnancy, my doctor put me on a drug (that has since been taken off the market), to prevent a miscarriage, since I had a history of this. I delivered a healthy 9 lb baby, so it did what it was supposed to do. However, about 15 years later I got notification from my doctor, that the female offspring who were born to women that had taken this drug, were developing cancer of their reproductive organs. Fortunately I had a boy, but I was advised to be aware in case there should be any problems with males developing any problems in the future. I never heard of any, and my son is a big, burly, healthy, guy who will be 40 next week. But what if I had a girl????
The point is - what do we do? Place blind faith in the doctors and pharmaceutical companies? Opt not to take the drugs and suffer the consequences? It seems there can never be a satisfactory answer to this one.
Here's hoping that all works out for the good in the end for you. Prayers for you from me and the fur kids.
