    Milly & Izzy outside pictures

Milly & Izzy have done well with being trained to go outside on a leash and harness.
Milly asks, er demands, loudly to go outside more than Izzy so most of the photos are of her.

Milly looking tough on the new deck.

    Milly sitting on the deck.

Milly laying down on the deck.

    Izzy laying on the deck.

She has a red harness and leash but the day I took these photos she asked to go out right after Milly so we just put Milly's blue leash & harness on Izzy.

Izzy looking like a fuzzy ferret.

Milly the mower trimming the grass.

Milly always eats grass when she's outside.

Milly sitting on one of the deck chairs.

Milly showing off her beautiful blue eyes.

Milly watching birds while Izzy peeks through the sunroom window at her.

That's all the photos for now.
Who else has trained their cats to go outside on leashes & harnesses?
It was easier than I thought it would be.
My cats are happy that they still get to go outside and I'm happy that they are safe and close to me when they are outside.
    RIP sweet Samantha

Again, I am stunned at the beauty of those two! I am always just knocked out by how striking they are... even on leases! They look like they are enjoying themselves outside and as you are finding out, it is going to become addicting to them..

You know what.. seeing them reminded me that Boo use to go outside on a lease/chain when she lived in the apartment with my sister. She'd stay out all day and was just as happy being on a chain as she would have been to wander free.. I am NOT going to try that at her age now.. don't want to start something.

I have harnesses for my boys and have let them out a time or two but Toby just wants to run under cars or around table legs. Havoc is more relaxed when he is outside, but they both yowl incessantly at the door when I bring them back inside. I don't mind taking them outside with me, but I'm afraid they're gonna dart out when I'm just going in and out myself, because they're always lurking around the door.

I used to let the Cats have some fredom in the yard , but then one day , I saw Bo Bo in a yard sharing dinner with some German Shephards , and thinking that in the wrong yard she will be dinner!!!!
And then Moose The Magnifi Cat disappeared for eight weeks while I worried , and afyer that they were all indoor Cats!!!
But you are right to train them young so they will know thier boundaries and whee they can and cant go!!!

They are gorgeous! Milly and Izzy have pretty blue eyes.

I tried training Snowbelle on a leash for when we would go outside. We had no luck. She was terffied of it! But she's a good kitty, and we'll let her out in the yard. While someone is out there watching her of course.

Milly and Izzy, you are very beautiful! Just stunning. I am glad you enjoy going outside! You make my heart just skip a beat.

If ever Cassie Cat and I move to a place where she can safely go outdoors, it will be on a leash.

They are definitely beauties! My cat Buddy is a leash cat. I think he has the same blue harness your kitty has. My daughter used to just carry him outside and walk around holding him. It made me nervous so we decided to try the harness and leash. He really likes to go outside so it did not take him long to understand harness and leash means outside. He loves to eat grass too and that is the first thing he does. All I have to say is "Buddy...do you want to go outside" and zoooooom out to the mudroom he goes where his leash is. He is so excited the whole time I am trying to put the harness on him he is doing his figure 8's and purring and meowing. I have pictures in my album if you would like to look at them. For some reason I am having trouble inserting photos into my posts.

Aaawww- Milly and Izzy are such good girls on the leash. When I met Bengalz in Vancouver, we could even walk with Eve and her mom- Eve waits for her walk every day

I've thought about giving it a try but my Coco Puff is so demanding that if I start it and he really enjoys it, he'll nag me incessantly until I give in to his demands to go whenever he wants to rather than when it's convenient for me. And my Boo still is a door darter after 18 years so I'd be too afraid that he'd like it so much that he'd try to dart again. Your two are obviously well behaved. My Fur Posse are too ghetto. LOL What lovely pix you've taken of them, as usual. Love the one w/Milly on the chair and Izzy looking at her through the window.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Thanks for the replies, I'm just bumping this up in case anyone missed seeing the photos. I hope to have some more new photos of Milly & Izzy to post soon.

Happylabs, I like the photos of your cat Buddy going out with your dog. He is braver than my girls though, they like to stay inside when there's snow on the ground.

I was very surprised that Bud went off the deck into the snow. I just sat and watched and waited. At that point he really missed his grass! He is a fresh air freak like me too.

Here's one more photo of Milly that I got, a nice close up.

My daughter was holding her, it looks like she spotted a bird in the yard.
