Um....how to put this delicately...how does a blind person surf the web? Can they get software to say the website name, or Dragonspeak for voice command? Now this has me curious. We know deaf folks have no trouble at all!

Yes, blind folks can have the computer "read" the web pages to them. That's why it is important to have "tags" for images. So for example, if you roll your mouse over the big images for each pet featured on the homepages, you will see a tag that, for example, says "Archie, the Dog of the Day" and that is what the software will read, as well as the text.
I've Been Frosted
They use a screenreader ( JAWS is a popular one) and keyboard commands. Obviously, using a rat isn't going to fly if you can't see what it's pointing at. Keyboard commands, however, serve the same purpose.
