    Stomach Twisting

I wanted to alert people about this condition since our neighbor's beautiful Great Dane just passed away on Friday with this painful condition. My neighbor never knew this could be a problem.

Here is a site that explains it well because it is caused by bloat:

It can happen to other breeds as well.

It is something that deep-chested breeds are more susceptible to than others, Danes, and Dobermans both. Sorry for your friend's loss.

That is a very informative link - thanks! I hope all Great Dane and Doberman owners are aware of it. Must be horrible to experience.
