    New rat cage

I got a new cage for some of my boys. Its 56" tall without the stand, 24" deep, and 36" wide. It has more decor and hammocks now than it did in the picture. The pictures make it look smaller because of the angle, I'm standing on my bed to get the whole thing.

The cage is big enough for 14 rats when used to its full potential, but I only have 5 in there because they can't fit through the bars and my younger rats can.

Awesome cage!! Looks like they really like it! I just have one suggestion though. You might want to consider cutting some cardboard to fit the shelves, bare wire is very hard on a rats foot - it can give them sores called "bumblefoot". If they pee on it and it gets stinky then you can just simply throw it out and cut out a new piece for the shelf.

Thanks. I already have fleece cut to fit the levels and held on with binder clips. The picture was soon after I set the cage up.
