Guess you are doing fine without your tail-piece! I'm so happy you are in a loving home, doing fine.
My husband brought home a parakeet once that had flown into a car repair shop; the owner saw him land on the hood of a car, swiped him up and put him in a box. He called my husband because we have cats & birds and we had Petey for almost 10 years! Maybe it's a good spot to end up in.
