Wow... the sky in those pics is awesome! I'm surprised there's no snow! Are they new/recent pictures, or are they from before winter? Pic #1 is just breath taking.

Only 1 was from last year. A couple are 3 or 4 years old.

I swear I posted about 80 pics here and the thread disaperated with no explanation.

Same here. Just being so close to nature and in the woods and by all the water and the glorious sky. My mom and dad went on a train ride from Chicago through Canada and stayed in British Columbia, then went to Alaska, and took a riverboat down to Seattle, Washington, and then flew home, but they said it was jsut so gorgeous. My dad had wanted to go there so badly, and she wanted him to go before his health got much worse and so he could still see what was around him (he's legally blind now).

One day I'll get to go there. And BC, and all those other gorgeous places. I wish they had a larger need for librarians. I move away from the city in a heart beat to be in that environment.

    Beautiful!

I have always wanted to visit Alaska for the scenery. Especially after seeing the movie Into the Wild; some of the views are simply breathtaking. We had planned to go sometime in 2009 or 2010 but I am not sure if that is still going to happen.

Alaska is the place I want to visit before I die. My daughter suggested we plan a trip there for next year. I loved the idea. It seems to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

    I've been Boo'd...
    Thanks Barry!
