What can I create with these items?

I have some hamburger meat I have to use.
I also have a ton of the following:

    corn tortillas
    picante sauce
cream of (chicken, celery, mushroom) soup
    can of green chiles

I have a totally full cabinet so I have a ton of other stuff, those are the first ones that popped into my head.

What casserole type dinner can I creat with these?

How much work you want to do?

Fry the hamburger and combine with the picante and green chiles.

Layer the corn tortillas, hamburger and a layer of cheese, repeat until done,
then toss it into the oven with a layer of cheese.....about 30 minutes?

If you have canned beans put a layer of those in!

That sounds a lot like my chicken casserole... yum.

I have beans (pinto, dark red kidney & light red kidney, but no refried ones

Would I use an 8x8 or 9x13 pan?

The beans can go in as is!

THe pan? It depends on how fast you want to eat! Larger and thinner, will cook faster.

    --------

If you want to refry beans it's easy.

Heat some oil in a skillet and place the beans into the skillet and mash away with a tater masher!

Drain the beans first and add liquid as you go to get the beans you want.

    Thanks, Richard.

I will try this soon. I ended up freezing all the hamburger meat... hubby didn't want anything with hamburger two nights in a row (I made meatloaf last night).

    It sounds yummy!

Then you can grab some olives to add to the mix!!

Another little twist is a yellow and white cheese and alternate in the layers.

Grab a container of sour cream and guacamole to serve as a topping after you serve.

    LOL, It's a mexican lasagna!

YOu can do chicken or a pork shoulder, cook and shred it instead of hamburger.
Good luck and let us know!

Ok... so freezing it is a great idea.. but here are some other ideas once you decide to use it...

I use tons of this kinda meat..

    besides hamburgers... you can do
    I mix the meat with:
    lemon pepper
    mustard
    1 egg
and consome (not sure term in english but will lookit up for you)
you can add Maggi sauce and/or Salsa Inglesa (similar to A1)

just about the same but in shape of a hotdog and you can put a slice of singles cheese inside.. yummy...

you can also try crumbing it up in small pieces and adding potatoes in cubes and have it as a stew something..

you can fry it in between corn tortilla (not chips)

or you can have in in tortilla chips on top of beans and sprinkle some cheese on top... you can spicy it up with lemon juice...

letme look at some spices names... so I can offer other stuff..
