Soldier Hollow Sheepdog Competition + Splash Dogs <pics>

These are from about a month ago. I went to the Soldier Hollow Classic, I've wanted to go to that for a few years but kept missing it. It was really a lot of fun, I love watching dogs do what they were bred to do. The border collies abilities were very impressive! They also had Splash Dogs there which was fun to watch (couldn't help but think of Finn too). Here's a few pics...

What fun pictures! I've never seen herding before. The Splash Dogs photos make me wish I was on the dock, haha. I love watching the little guys jump!

Thanks for thinking of Finn! (I just read what you wrote, that's so cool that you thought of him!)

Very interesting! Ducks? Geese? No wonder you don't see huskies herding, eh? (Not a chance those quackers would ever make it to the pen.) You got some great shots - I love the intensity of the dogs' gaze as they work. The splash dog competitions look like a lot of fun, too. Thanks for sharing these, Åmy.
