Oh no, poor Bonnie. It must have have been awful, but I'm glad you got a painkiller in her and I hope she'll feel better each day!

    Lots of positive thoughts.

Good luck to Bonnie I hope she heals quickly. I had to have my Buddybear's upper canine tooth pulled,it cracked his jaw and for days he lived on boiled ckicken broth.Maybe she would like that. Good luck! katslady

Jen, how is dear Bonnie today?
Still refusing to eat. But allowing me to give her her pills. And seems in good spirits.

She WANTS to eat, I believe, by the fact that she will go in her assigned carrier at each meal......but doesn't want what I have to offer.

I find myself apologizing profusely to her, but she simply is not allowed to eat dry kibble right now.

We'll find something she likes. *crosses fingers*

I hope you find what sweet Bonnie can eat and will eat. Give her a head scritchie from the Dunn gang.

Jen, I'm so very sorry about this. You have gone through so much this year and last year and I ask myself how I can help. All I can do is offer up lots and lots of hugs and prayers for you and Bonnie.

Come on Bonnie, please be a good girl and eat!

Jen, I'm sure you've already thought about this but how about you get some dry kibble and soak it in some liquid to make it soft?? Maybe she will eat it???

{{{hugs}}} Jen. Hopefully one day we will meet and I can hug you in furrson.

Well, Bonnie is still not eating a whole lot, but she is begining to nibble. (She got human canned chicken today) I still need to find out which food she'll eat on a REGULAR basis now that she has no teeth.

I gave her an appetite stimulant pill this evening, hoping by tomorrow morning she'll be extra willing to eat.

She seems to be healing and the vet will look at it on Monday.

Oh Bonnie, what you've been through sounds awful!

I hope you're feeling better by now, hope your appetite will come back soon.

My RB Katz had lost all her teeth and had no problems eating.

    Get well soon, Bonnie!

Sorry to hear she's still not eating much. Once her jaw heals up she should be able to eat dry food, possibly moistened with some water. We have several older pets at work that have no teeth and manage to eat dry food not even moistened. I guess they gum it rather than chew it. Although in most of those cases they don't also have a fractured jaw to deal with either.

I hope Bonnie gets healed up soon and back to eating for you.

She finally ate a decent amount this morning, so I can hope it will only get better from here. I am going to go get another selection of canned varieties today, though, to find her favorite.
