Olympics fan takes the high jump

A desperate sports fan took a high jump from his second storey apartment - when his wife banned him from watching the Olympics on television.

Athletics-mad Cornel Hobai, 42, leapt from the balcony when his wife pulled the plug after enduring hours of TV from Beijing.

But he amazed medics when he escaped with just a sprained ankle after falling more than 20 feet onto grass below.

Dr Tudor Ciuhodaru at Iasi Hospital said: "It seems that not being able to watch what he wanted on the TV was the last straw."

Why couldn't she just have sent him out for a beer at the bar?

NO, she was rude and unplugged it while he was watching!

Ya think maybe she asked him to do some chores whille he was watching the olympics and he ignored her?? Maybe it was her time of the month and that set her off. Who knows??? He's lucky he got off light with just his ankle. If I were the wife, I would've tossed the tv out the window.

How somebody can be that desperate for tv is beyond me, but he sounds like half the Packers fans around here.
