I have three feral or homeless cats who have moved in about 5 months ago. There was four.Their mom abandoned them in my neighbors backyard. I have a whole in my basement. Three cats came in during the winter through the whole. A dog attacked the other kitten while the owner watched. All three cats roam the house, but if you try to pet them, they hiss at you. One of the cats, which is calico, (I posted pics of the 3 cats) finally, after a few months, the calico cat demands that we pet her. She is the most loveable cat I have ever had. If you don't pet her, she licks you. Her sisters live in my house. They lie around, play, and eat. They will not let us near them. I have alot of patience, and I am willing to wait. My advice is to talk to them whenever you see them. Hold your fingers out for them to smell. If they did not want to be at your home, they will find a way out and never come back. Cats are very trusting once they gain your trust. When they lived outside as babies, they had to learn to protect themselves from cars, people, and dogs. They grew up frightned and that is why it takes sometime for them to get use to us nice people. Once they fall in love with you, you will forever be loved by your cat.
